We are a nonprofit organization seeking to make a real difference in Washington's fight for sustainability - Focusing on the environment alone is not enough, we have to seek social justice and economic equality if we want sustainability. It's a big job, but with all hands in, we can do anything by working together!

Why is this important?
Put simply, an unsustainable system or method is just that, a way of doing things which cannot be maintained or supported.
Inflation, depleted natural resources, and ideologies designed to promote inequality are all examples of unsustainable systems.
Sustainability improves the quality of life for every living thing. Who doesn't want clean air to breathe, less conflict, or better things to worry about than how to pay for that bill, [back to school clothes, food, medicine, rent]?
If we have the power to map the human genome, survive the internet, and walk on the moon, I'm pretty sure we got this. Come on Washington, what changes do you wanna make?

Why the Acronym?
Because, sustainability solutions can be complex and can serve many functions. When thinking about each solution, we want to ensure that we are being mindful and adherent to a set of ethical standards designed to keep the people and the environment at the forefront of all our work. Every solution we craft is guided by GOAL principles:
Genuine– Every solution must be genuinely crafted to solve the issue with no pretense and no strings. e.g. Solutions to help the homeless should not line someone else's pockets.
Observant – Ideas must be observant and respectful of the people, places and culture they are designed to help.
Adaptable – Solutions need to be adaptable. As our communities grow and change, the solutions we create must be adaptable and scalable
Lasting – Special attention must be paid to the long term and lasting impact of the solution created. We cannot create a solution which creates a foreseeable barrier for future solutions.
