HELP MAKE SUSTAINABILITY A REALITY

Sustainability is more than having a healthy environment, being 'green', or 'eco-friendly. Sustainability is about the environment and systems within that ecosphere that are in harmony with each other and support a thriving community for all living things;  a system which supports and nourishes all without discrimination or prejudice is sustainable. To achieve sustainability we must have environmental conservation, social justice, and economic equality. 

A widely used definition from the UN World Commission on Environment and Development describes Sustainability as, “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” Profit, people, and the planet can be thought of as three systems which all work together. Without these systems working in cooperation we will continue to see poverty, discrimination, and pollution ruling our lives and hindering the possibilities we could achieve without these destructive systems in desperate need of sustainable innovation.
